Buying a raffle ticket today means you are not only helping us care for local families, you are also in with a chance of winning a £5,000 jackpot.
Your support means so much to others, people like Dani, a mum-of-one and a talented footballer who played for Shifnal Town Ladies FC.
She was just 29 when she was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. Sadly, she passed away last August.
We cared for her for the last few weeks of her life and the love, support and dedication we gave not only to her but also to her family, friends and teammates was only possible thanks to our incredible supporters – supporters just like you.
Karen Swindells, our head of lottery, said: “We were so touched when Dani’s family and friends said we could tell her story. It really illustrates the care we give.
“It only costs £1 per ticket to be part of our raffle and you could win big: there is a jackpot of £5,000, as well as 42 other cash prizes.
“Every single ticket sale makes a massive difference to us.”
Tickets are on sale until 5 July 2024 online and are available in our shops and from the receptions of our hospices in Telford and Shrewsbury. Players must be aged over 16 and be resident in England, Scotland or Wales. Tickets can only be purchased online with a debit card.
There are 43 cash prizes: a £5,000 jackpot, a second prize of £200, a third of £100 and 40 prizes of £10.
The winning numbers will be drawn on 12 July 2024 and will appear on our social media and on our website. The lucky winner of the jackpot will get a call from our lottery team – so make sure to include your phone number.
Winning entries will be selected using random number generator software. All winning prizes are paid by cheque.

The care and support we give to thousands of people living with incurable illness in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales would not be possible without your incredible generosity. Each year, by playing our lottery and buying tickets for our raffles, you raise almost £1 million towards our care.

You give our nurses time to care, time to make precious memories with our patients and their families and carers and time to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Never is this felt more than at Christmastime.
Karen Swindells, head of lottery, said: “We know that everyone is feeling the pinch right now and that things are tight for so many people in the run up to Christmas.
“But even just buying a few tickets makes an enormous difference to us. They cost just £1 each, but this all adds up. We must raise £2 for every £3 we spend and each week we spend £166,117 on care.

“A full set of scrubs for a nurse cost £29, £65 provides a therapeutic Elephants Never Forget day for a group of children and their carers while £20 provides an hour’s care from a Hospice at Home healthcare assistant.
“Without the overwhelming generosity of our incredible supporters, we would not be able to be there for as many people as we are when they are facing heartbreak.”

Every penny of your support helps Severn Hospice, with 63p from your lottery £1 going directly to patient care. We use 12p for prizes and the other 25p for promotion and administration so we can continue to help families who need our help (based on financial accounts for year ended 31.03.2023). In 2022/23 £765,773 went to Severn Hospice Ltd as well as over £39,000 in donations.
