Volunteer in our hospice shops

We have a network of shops across Shropshire and Mid Wales, each of which has a team of volunteers who give up their free time to help make a difference in their local community.

Here are some examples of volunteer roles within our retail department.

General shop volunteer – help with all aspects of running a busy shop from accepting and sorting donations to dressing the window.

Customer service assistant – help customers find what they are looking for and lend a hand with the day to day running of the shop. This role involves working on tills and handling cash.

Retail specialist volunteer (antiques, books, retro, vintage, furniture) – identify items which may be valuable or of special interest to our customers.

Delivery drivers and collection assistants – transport goods and other items to our shops and warehouse. These roles include collection of large donations from our supporters.

Office based volunteers – work alongside our retail team helping with various admin roles including processing Gift Aid and counting collection tins.

Retail events – sell good quality items at external events. This role does involve working at weekend.
