Pip was just a baby when his dad Paul Haywood died at our hospice.  

And since Paul’s death eight years ago from bowel cancer, his sons and wife Becki have not stopped raising money for us.  

After winning our Elephants Never Forget bookmark competition, Pip thought it would be nice to sell them to his mum’s colleagues at the Fire Service.  

Meanwhile, his older brother, Rayph, set up a website to sell his glitter art and the family run an online Lego subscription business, called Babacorn Bricks.  

Initiative 

Pip’s winning bookmark design is included in the boxes each month and the initiative recently won an award for best subscription boxes for kids.  

Pip said: “My dad loved Lego and I love Lego and I decided to raise money for Severn Hospice because dad was looked after so well by everyone there and I want to help more people.  

Memory 

Becki added: “Paul absolutely loved Lego and had a huge collection. And we all really love Lego, so we decided to start Babacorn Bricks in his memory. It’s so nice to run it together as a family every month.  

“The hospice was such an important part of Paul’s final days and he loved everyone and the amazing job you all do.  We will never forget how kind you all were and how you made such a terrible time for us all that little bit better.”
