tallulahWe are delighted that another of our supporters has been nominated for a Pride of Shropshire Award in the Special Young Person category.

Tallulah Lewis-Schulz’s father, Andreas Lewis-Schulz, was cared for at our Shrewsbury hospice in April 2015. In October 2015 Tallulah shaved her hair to raise money for our hospice as a thank you for the care given to her father and the support shown to herself, her younger sister Poppy and her Mum, Sarah. Tallulah’s story went viral, travelling all over the world and raising over £10,000 for the hospice. As well as raising money for our hospice, Tallulah also donated her hair to the Little Princess trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their own hair to cancer treatment.

Tallulah also supported our Forget Me Not campaign in April this year, helping to make an invaluable difference to the lives of the people that need our help.

Julie Burroughs, one of our volunteer gardeners, has also been nominated for the Environmental Award in the Pride of Shropshire Awards.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting these truly inspirational people and vote for them in the Shropshire Star using the special tokens in the newspaper.
