We will be welcoming members of the public and healthcare professionals to our centre in Newtown with an open afternoon where they can find out about the vital work we do in the area.
Visitors are welcome to come along to our new centre, on Back Lane in Newtown, between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday 12th October.
Clinical staff and volunteers who make up the local specialist palliative care team will be on hand to talk to members of the public and to health workers about the role of our hospice in Newtown and the surrounding area caring for patients with incurable illnesses.
Dr Claire Stockdale, one of our Consultants working in Newtown, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to welcome the people of Newtown to their dedicated Severn Hospice site. Severn Hospice in Newtown had previously worked out of the local hospital, but now we are really pleased to announce that we have our own new home in the community.
“We hope local residents will join us at our new hospice building located in the centre of Newtown and we are looking forward to meeting the people we are here to help.”
