We have a talented team of artists who hold sessions at our hospices throughout the year allowing people to explore and develop their creativity.

Many of our patients discover a talent they never knew they had and, in turn, this boosts their confidence, brings great comfort and allows them to feel in control.

Holly is our creative therapist in Day Services and she works closely with our volunteers Wilf, Paul, Karen and Di who share their artistic and craft expertise with our patients. We have sessions including lino printing, watercolour painting, pastels and acrylics.

We also partner with the charity The Reader, which has over 1,000 volunteers and partners across the UK. Each week, they bring thousands of people together to share and discuss great novels, short stories, and poems. They kindly provide free reading workshops for us.

All sessions are by referral

Once referred, a booking will be made on to the four-week workshop you wish to participate in. Reading sessions last 90 minutes, and all other workshops are 2 hours long.

The sessions are suitable for anyone, whether they are creative or not and everyone is made welcome.
