We recently joined forces with the team from Flicks in the Sticks to transform our day hospice into a mini cinema complete with big screen and popcorn for our patients and their carers.

Living with an incurable illness has such a big impact on the lives of those with the diagnosis and those who love them. At the hospice we have run a carers support group for many years offering support and advice on all manner of things from nutrition to finances. As part of that care we wanted to do something a bit different and offer our day hospice patients and their carers some time off to enjoy a night at the cinema together.

As part of their evening the group enjoyed a fish and chip supper prepared by our lovely catering team and the festive favourite Nativity!

Everyone who joined us had a wonderful time and welcomed the opportunity to do something ‘normal’.

We hope to host another cinema night in the new year.
