Our wonderful supporters turned out in their numbers as we opened our new-look Welshpool shop to the community.

Severn Hospice Welshpool has been undergoing an extensive refurbishment over the summer to enhance the experience and create more space for shoppers.

Our shop manager Rhiannon was joined by nurses Mandy and Eileen, Town Crier Tammy Manuel as well as staff and nurses as they officially cut the ribbon to unveil the shop.

We are appealing for volunteers to join the award-winning team, which raised £1.1million across all of our shops last year.

From customer service assistants to general shop helpers – come along to give up your spare time to help make a difference in the community.

Annette Wallis, Retail Area Manager, said: “We’re delighted to reopen our Welshpool shop for all of our supporters to see after a busy six week.

“Our builders worked hard throughout August to make the shop more user friendly for our customers, donors and our team.

“We would still love to receive your quality donations! You can bring your pre-loved clothes, collectables, toys, books and more to us anytime between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.”

The High Street store is the latest of our 27 award-winning shops to receive a makeover, with stores in Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Oswestry already refurbished.
