AlpacasThe British Alpaca Society National Show has chosen Severn Hospice to be its chosen charity as it returns to the International Centre in Telford on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th March.

The show is a family fun day out and all proceeds collected on the door will be donated to our hospice, helping to ensure we can continue to care for the thousands of families across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales who are living with a terminal illness.

Philippa Collett, Show Co-ordinator for the British Alpaca Show, said: “We’re thrilled to be back in Telford and supporting such a fantastic local cause. Severn Hospice will receive all the money donated at the door on the day and we hope we can help it to continue to provide fantastic care in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales.

“It’s a fun day out for all the family – our alpacas will be on show and there will be outstanding craft and trade stands. We will be showcasing some wonderful alpaca products and yarns. We hope lots of craft enthusiasts and weavers come along to see our fabulous alpacas.”

Our Fundraising Manager, Lucy Ruff, said: “We’re really pleased to be the chosen charity for this brilliant event again this year. It’s raised over £7,000 for our hospice in the past, so it’s made a huge difference to the thousands of local families that need our support.

“We hope lots of families will come along to enjoy a great day out whilst also supporting our hospice.”

The show is from 8:30am-4:30pm on both days and the cost of entry is a suggested donation of £2 per person or £5 per family on entry to the venue.
