Our Lights of Love service is going virtual again this year – and we would love you to join us from wherever you are in the world.
Normally we hold two Lights of Love services in St Chad’s church in Shrewsbury. However last year, because of the pandemic, we had to go online with our service. And we have decided to do the same this Christmastime.
If you want to take part, just visit our website at 4pm on December 5. You can also dedicate a light on our Christmas tree which will be lit up outside our Shrewsbury hospice throughout December.
We have teamed up with the same Shrewsbury-based videographer as last year and the moving service, with the theme Community, will feature music, readings and reflection.
Becky Richardson, our director of care said: “Our annual event lets us come together in a seasonal spirit of reflection and remembrance to celebrate the lives of those we love who are no longer with us.
“We had hoped we would be able to gather in person this year which means so much to us all, but we have decided to hold this years’ service virtually as it still feels too soon for us all to meet in St Chad’s.
“Even though we are not inside our usual venue, you will be comforted to know that Lights of Love will be as special and poignant as it is every year.”
By supporting our Lights of Love service and dedicating a light in memory of a loved one, your kindness allows us to provide care and support to thousands of people when they are facing heartbreak.
