Our award-winning gardens play an important role in the care we provide, offering therapeutic areas for patients and their loved ones to relax in and enjoy. Our hospice in Bicton Heath, Shrewsbury, sits within a 13 acre plot and our hospice in Apley Castle, Telford, lies within a four and half acre site. Between the two sites there is an awful lot of work needed to maintain the prize-winning gardens. We employ two part-time gardeners  and have a team of over 70 volunteers who work tirelessly, come rain or shine, to keep the gardens looking at their best.

Over the coming months our gardeners Alexis James and Chris Watkins will be providing an in depth account of what happens in our gardens, the work they have been doing and sharing a few hints and tips in our new gardening blog.

We hope you enjoy reading about how our gardens change throughout the seasons.
