Head to your nearest phone box, it’s time to turn into a charity superhero!
We have fired up its bat signal and is calling all caped crusaders, wonder women, supermen and Super Teds to the West Mid Showground for Shropshire’s biggest inflatable obstacle course
KAPOW! guarantees to be a day of pneumatic pnonsense on April 21 as hundreds of supporters don their best masks, tights and comedy pants to raise funds for our.
Lucy Ruff, fundraising manager at Severn Hospice, said: “This is such an exciting new event, we’ve been working on it in our Secret Events Cave for a few months and we are delighted to announce it to the world.
“Budding superheroes will have to battle their way through huge obstacles, lots of bubbles and giant slides over the 5km course.
“It’s the first time the area’s seen anything like this on this scale and it’s going to be absolutely brilliant. All we’re asking in return is for people to raise funds for us.
“You don’t actually need super powers to take part, just a sense of super fun – and be over the age of eight and at least 1.2 metres tall. We are encouraging people to dress as superheroes but if you’d rather keep your pants UNDER your clothes and just wear sports gear, you’re still welcome!”
Registration for KAPOW! costs £20 and includes full entry – plus a hospice hero’s medal and a bottle of water.
Lucy added: “We’re also on the lookout for superhero sidekicks – volunteers to help on the day.”
