Support Groups

We have 21 Support Groups, each fundraising in their own local area.   All Support Group members are volunteers and they do an invaluable job in both raising essential funds and acting as ambassadors for the Hospice in the community.   To date our combined Support Groups have raised almost 2 million pounds for the Hospice, a magnificent achievement.

Each Support Group works independently but with the full support of the Appeals team.   The Groups vary in size and in the type of fundraising they undertake.   Some do regular collections in town centres or supermarkets, some focus on coffee mornings and table top sales, others enjoy organising major events such as balls or concerts.   There are no financial targets placed on the Groups and each works at their own pace.

Joining a Support Group is a way to raise vital funds for the Hospice while also having fun.   The Groups are very sociable and most meet regularly to plan and to exchange ideas.
