The National Council for Palliative Care is an umbrella organisation for palliative care in England , Wales and Northern Ireland . It is an independent body with charitable status set up in 1991 to promote the extension and improvement of palliative care services. Hope House Children’s Hospices provides respite, palliative care and terminal nursing for life-limited children. The organisation runs two hospices – Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy. The Association of Children’s Hospices (ACH) is a registered charity which brings together over 40 voluntary sector children’s hospice services throughout the UK dedicated to the care of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families . Macmillan Cancer Relief is a UK charity that works to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer. It offers life support by providing the expert care and practical support that makes a real difference to people living with cancer. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families.
