Based at our Hospice in Shrewsbury, we have the following vacancy:
Full Time Senior Steward
£7.53 - £9.00 per hour (excluding weekend enhancements)
Hours of work : 37 ½ hours per week to include alternate weekends and bank holidays
Annual holiday entitlement : 27 days (excluding public holidays)
Working as part of a small team, you will supervise the effective operation of the stewards and laundry departments. You will play a key role in undertaking a wide range of duties including stores, portering, driving, health and safety, grounds maintenance and security.
A team player with a flexible approach to work, you must have good organisational and communication skills. You must also be able to work under your own initiative

Catering Assistants Required
The role involves assisting in the preparation and service of meals as required. You will also wash up all used utensils, crockery and cutlery both manually and using the dishwasher.
Shrewsbury based : 18-20 hours per week (permanent contract) to include weekend working
Telford / Shrewsbury based : Casual / bank contracts to be called upon when there is a shortfall in staff
£6.35 - £6.91 per hour. Saturday and Sunday hours are paid an addition of time plus half and double time respectively.
You will need to have a current basic food hygiene certificate. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage

Nursing Assistant – Permanent Contract (nights)
20 hours – 2 nights per week @ Shrewsbury
£6.56 - £8.09 per hour ex. nightshift enhancement
(Band 2 under Agenda for Change)
Working as part of the nursing team, you will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of patient care including support for the patients’ relatives. You will assist the nursing team in the provision of individualised care programmes aimed at maximising patient comfort, safety and dignity while they are at the Hospice.
Previous nursing assistant experience and NVQ Level 2 in Care are both desirable. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
